Daniele Casella

Daniele Casella is a researcher with the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate. From 2007 he has been at CNR-ISAC where he was involved in several research and operational projects with EUMETSAT, ESA, ASI and Italian Civil Protection. He has been responsible for the development of the EUMETSAT H-SAF precipitation retrieval algorithms for conical scanning radiometers. He is author of more than 30 scientific papers in international journals. His research interests include the radiative transfer simulation trough precipitating clouds, the development of artificial intelligence algorithms for the retrieval of precipitation from satellite, the remote sensing of snow and snowfall.
