In 2017, China Meteorological Administration (CMA) set up a meteorological navigation service team. 2019, the team formally carried out the ship meteorological navigation services. At present, the cumulative number of ships served is more than 5,000, and the routes cover the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and other sea areas.
