Thamba Umba Olivier

Director and Climate Expert/METTELSAT

Olivier Thamba Umba is a director at the National Agency for Meteorology and Remote Sensing by Satellite "METTELSAT" in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He holds a degree in hydrology from the Higher Institute of Applied Techniques (DRC). He worked at the International Commission for the Congo-Oubangui-Sangha Basin (CICOS) as a Thematic Expert in Water Resources Management in Central Africa within the framework of the projects: AMESD, MESA and GMES&Africa. He has experience in the fields of hydrological monitoring, the use of satellite precipitation and evaporation data for hydrological applications and project management.
