The increasing frequency and intensity of hazardous weather events such as floods, storms, droughts, and heatwaves are a testament to the profound impacts of climate change on communities worldwide. Particularly in vulnerable and exposed regions, proactive climate adaptation strategies are essential to reducing the adverse effects of these disasters1. Multi-hazard Early Warnings Systems (MHEWS) are an integral tool for countries to adapt to the changing climate and to avert, minimize and address losses and damages caused by hazardous events.
