The European State of the Climate (ESOTC) provides descriptions and analyses of climate conditions in Europe in 2024 covering variables from across the Earth system, key events and their impacts, and a discussion of climate policy and action with a focus on resilience of the built environment. The report is compiled by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The Copernicus Climate Change Service is implemented by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) on behalf of the European Commission. To present their findings regarding the European climate in 2024, we are delighted to invite you to the launch of the European State of the Climate 2024 report on April 15th at 13:00-14:00 (CEST), where the key findings of the report will be presented by experts from both ECMWF and WMO.
