Briefing on the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation (By invitation only)

A briefing session, hosted by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan in Geneva in cooperation with WMO, will take place on 6 May 2025 in Geneva. This invitation-only event is intended to inform Geneva-based stakeholders about the objectives, thematic priorities and logistical arrangements of the upcoming High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation, to be held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from 29 to 31 May 2025.

The briefing will highlight the critical role of glacier preservation in enhancing global climate resilience, reducing disaster risks, promoting sustainable development and strengthening international cooperation.
